Executive Director, Occupational Therapist
Consultations & Screenings
Rose Adams, MS, OTR/L, better known as "Ms. Rose" by her clients, graduated from the Brooklyn Campus of Long Island University, in September of 2005. Shortly after graduation, she began her career at a preschool in Queens, New York. There, she served as the Coordinator of Clinical Education for the Occupational Therapy department. She later provided services as an independent provider at sensory clinics, private practices, and in schools. In 2011, Rose founded Changing Lives Occupational Therapy, P.C.; a pediatric private practice that provided individualized occupational therapy services, skilled handwriting workshops, and OT sensory-motor activity groups. Rose further expanded her services by offering clinical education opportunities to OT Level I and Level II students, professional mentorship to colleagues interested in private practice, and volunteer opportunities to college students looking to pursue a career in the health sciences.
Today, Rose is the proud mom of identical twin boys, Joseph & David. She enjoys finding new ways to motivate children through music and tapping into children's strengths to help them succeed. Rose continues to mentor college students, conduct parent education workshops through community partnerships, and provide evaluation and consulting OT services.
Rose always welcomes questions, comments, and an opportunity for your child to experience the Changing Lives OT difference!
