Consultations & Screenings
Rose Adams, MS, OTR/L, better known as "Ms. Rose" by her clients, graduated from the Brooklyn Campus of Long Island University, in September of 2005. Shortly after graduation, she began her career at a preschool in Queens, New York. There, she served as the Coordinator of Clinical Education for the Occupational Therapy department. She later provided services as an independent provider at various, sensory clinics, private practices, and in schools. In 2011, Rose founded Changing Lives Occupational Therapy, P.C.; a pediatric private practice that provided individualized occupational therapy services, skilled handwriting workshops, and OT sensory-motor activity groups. Rose further expanded her services by offering clinical education opportunities to OT Level I and Level II students, professional mentorship to colleagues interested in private practice, and volunteer opportunities to college students looking to pursue a career in the health sciences.
A few years into the practice, Rose became the proud mom of identical twin boys, Joseph & David. Today, Changing Lives OT has evolved and currently provides occupational therapy consultative and evaluation services. Changing Lives also continues to offer skilled handwriting and sensory-motor workshops, parent educational workshops, and distance mentorship for allied-health college students. Rose’s dedication to families continues to be the central focus on her practice. She is a strong advocate for families of children with special needs; providing edcuational seminars and OT screening services through local community partnerships.
Rose always welcomes questions, comments, and an opportunity for your child to experience the Changing Lives OT difference!
