Executive Director, Occupational Therapist
Consultations & Screenings
Rose Adams, MS, OTR/L, better known as "Ms. Rose" by her clients, graduated from the Brooklyn Campus of Long Island University, in September of 2005. Shortly after graduation, she began her career at a preschool, in Queens New York. There she served as Coordinator of Clinical Education for the Occupational Therapy department. She later provided services as an independent provider at various, sensory clinics, private practices, and in schools. In 2011, she founded Changing Lives Occupational Therapy, P.C.; a pediatric private practice that provided individualized occupational therapy services to children. Changing Lives OT also provided skilled handwriting workshops and OT sensory-motor activity groups. Rose further expanded her services by offering clinical education opportunities to OT Level I and Level II students, professional mentorship to fellow peers who were interested in private practice, and volunteer opportunities to college students looking to pursue a career in the health sciences.
A few years into the practice, Rose decided to start a family. She is the proud mom of identical twin boys, Joey & Dave. Today, Changing Lives OT has evolved and currently provides occupational therapy consultative and evaluation services. Changing Lives continues to offer seasonal skilled workshops for children, parent educational workshops, and distance mentorship for allied-health college students. Rose’s dedication to families continues to be the central focus on her practice. She understands how important the time we spend with our family is and how each moment matters. Rose is taking some time from managing a full-time practice in order to dedicate more time to her family.
She always welcomes questions, comments, and an opportunity for your child to experience the Changing Lives OT difference!
